MISSION STATEMENT
The Loop Players of Harold Washington College is a 33 year-old theater company with a unique vision- to make the theatrical experience totally inclusive and bring every body "into the loop".
More than an educational theater, the Loop Players is a rich, cohesive mixture of students, dedicated amateurs and seasoned professionals with a history of more than 100 professional quality productions and a devoted, city-wide audience.
Founded by Director Sydney R. Daniels and co-producer, Yvonne Fegan, the Loop Players has explored every theatrical genre, every movement, every style. It has embraced every theatrical aspirant and devotee - every age, every race, every ethnic background and promoted color-blind casting before it was politically correct.
The Loop Players has trained and nurtured performers and technicians, educated audiences and introduced two generations of Chicagoans to the magic and the possibilities of live theater.
